We are looking for German-speaking Bilingual Accountant for a major multinational laboratory located in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona). Depending on experience, the position may be Junior or Senior.
Be prepared to:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities according to IFRS/local GAAP.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records for assigned entities.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets teams to ensure proper accounting flows.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as required.
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives within the GL function.
- Process, verify, and reconcile supplier invoices in accordance with company policies.
- Manage and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues in collaboration with vendors and internal departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of all supplier invoices.
- Communicate effectively in German and English with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Maintain vendor master data and support internal audits when required.
- Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives within the AP function.
For this role we require:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2–5 years (SENIOR)of relevant experience in General Ledger or similar accounting roles, or Minimum 1-3 years (JUNIOR) of experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS and/or local GAAP).
- Hands-on experience with SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Experience in a shared service center (SSC) or multinational environment.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, flexible (remote work). Monday to Friday.
Salary: €35,000-€42,000 (negotiable based on experience).
Permanent contract.
